POST PARKLAND COMMUNITY CONVERSATION—Tonight at 5pm: Come join others from the CPC community desiring a safe place to process emotions and faith-questions in the wake of last week’s school shooting in Parkland, Florida. Pizza will be provided. RSVPs are not required, but letting Pastor Emily know will help her plan for the evening.
“WE COLLECT FOOD FOR OUR NEIGHBORS IN NEED BECAUSE SOMETIMES THEY CANNOT GET IT ON THEIR OWN” – Micah B. Amen, Micah. Last Sunday was another incredible day of sharing and loving as we collected 365 pounds of food, including 63 jars of peanut butter or jelly, 96 boxes of granola bars and snacks, 56 boxes of cereal, and 100 boxes of mac and cheese for the clients of the Lord’s Pantry! Thanks to all who donated items and to the Kids on a Mission class for sorting, weighing and packing them.
OUR MARCH COMMUNITY LUNCHEON will be held from 11 am to 1 pm this Thursday, March 1. Come enjoy delicious homemade soups, salads, sandwiches and desserts and a time of great fellowship. All sales support the work of the CPC Working Guild. Take-out orders are welcome.
NEXT SUNDAY, March 4, the CPC Presbyterian Women will be hosting Extending the Table. We invite everyone to come to Fellowship Hall after worship to enjoy some breakfast goodies and fellowship. Then stroll around to view some displays featuring the activities of the Miriam, Lydia, Deborah and Sarah Circles. Learn more about the purpose of PW: to nurture our faith, support mission, work for justice and peace, and build an inclusive, caring community of women in the church and in the world.
A HUGE THANK YOU to all who volunteered for the gathering of the Donegal Presbytery here at CPC on February 20. Many willing hands made the day go smoothly and we received many positive comments from those in attendance. Special thanks to Nash DeFord for coordinating the volunteers and to the CPC Working Guild for providing a delicious lunch, as well as enough extras that an entire meal could be taken to His Mission.

NOONTIME LENTEN SERVICES AND LUNCHEONS. The Downingtown Area Ministerium is once again sponsoring a series of noontime Lenten services and luncheons for our community. Worship is noon to 12:30 pm followed by lunch. The next one takes place on Wednesday, February 28, at Downingtown United Methodist Church, 751 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. CPC will be hosting on March 21.

WOMEN’S SPRING RETREAT. The Presbyterian Women of CPC are hosting a spring retreat, “Bringing Hope to a World in Need. . . Caring for Self, for Others, and for God’s Creation, at St. Mary’s of Providence Retreat Center, Elverson.
