PRAYER OF ILLUMINATION.  A series of musical meditations are being offered as our Prayer of Illumination each week in Lent.


HIS MISSION.  Please check the trifold board in the North Narthex this morning for the menu items requested for a meal for His Mission, a shelter in Kennett Square for those who are temporarily homeless and seeking employment. This month we will provide a meal of creamy baked chicken breasts, rice, broccoli, cornbread, fruit salad and tapioca pudding. Paper towels, soap, dish detergent and toilet paper are also always appreciated.  Please bring your items to church next Sunday, March 18. Thank you for your faithful support!


A GIFT TO ONE GREAT HOUR OF SHARING enables the PC(USA) to share God’s love with our neighbors-in-need around the world by providing relief to those affected by natural disasters, providing food to the hungry, and helping to empower the poor and oppressed.  This special offering will be collected on Easter Sunday morning.


“MEET YOUR DEACON SUNDAY” is next Sunday, March 18, 10:30 am in Fellowship Hall.  CPC’s Deacons wish to connect with you!  We’d like to say hello, take a few moments to get to know you, and offer you our support.  So please stop by Fellowship Hall after worship next Sunday, and don’t forget to wear your nametag!


NOONTIME LENTEN SERVICES AND LUNCHEONS.  The Downingtown Area Ministerium is once again sponsoring a series of noontime Lenten services and luncheons for our community.  Worship is noon to 12:30 pm followed by lunch.  The next one takes place on  Wednesday, March 14, at St. James’ Episcopal Church, 409 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown.  CPC will be hosting on March 21.


LOOKING FOR FLEECE FABRIC to use in our Central Connection After-school Program. Fabric should be a minimum of 2 ft. x 2 ft.  to be used by our youth to make throws.  Please call RaeAnn if you have questions, 610-873-9671.  Drop off fabric in the church office.  Thank you.

NURSERY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED.  One volunteer is needed weekly to serve with Ann Lash in the infant room. Please sign up on the calendar outside the nursery to support this important ministry.


WOMEN’S SPRING RETREAT.  The Presbyterian Women of CPC are hosting a spring retreat, “Bringing Hope to a World in Need. . . Caring for Self, for Others, and for God’s Creation, at St. Mary’s of Providence Retreat Center, Elverson.  ALL women of the church are invited to this wonderful opportunity for worship, study and fellowship April 27-29.  Pick up a registration form at the Welcome Center.  Registration deadline is March 15.


LOOKING FOR A CHALLENGE?  You might be interested in “Jewels of the Forgotten Prince,” an escape room event designed by our youth. Choose the night that suits you best:  April 6, 7, 13 or 14. Money raised will benefit summer trips to camp and mission. Stay tuned for more information!
