THE CPC DEACONS EXTEND A WARM WELCOME today and invite you to stop by the Deacons’ Table in Fellowship Hall.

DON’T MISS OUT!  Today is the last opportunity to sign up at the Welcome Center for the Deacon’s Senior Spring Luncheon to be held Thursday, April 18. If you are a senior or veteran please come be our guest.  We are still in need of volunteers to help make this event a success. Please sign up to help and thank you for your support!

 

JOIN US FOR OUR MAUNDY THURSDAY WORSHIP SERVICE on Thursday evening, April 18 at 7pm.  We will celebrate the sacrament of Communion.  Nursery provided for children 4 and under. Children age 4-8 are invited to a Holy Moly session during the service, learning about Jesus’ last night with his disciples through video and craft.

 

 

 

THE DOWNINGTOWN MINISTERIUM invites you to attend the Good Friday Worship Service to be held here at Central Presbyterian Church  at noon on Friday, April 19.

 

 

 

PARKING ON EASTER SUNDAY.  We request that anyone comfortable walking please park farther away from the building and in our overflow lots on Easter Sunday.  Over-flow parking will be available at Pook & Pook and Blackhawk Apartments. Thank you.

 

CHILD CARE ON EASTER SUNDAY: Children are always welcome to spend the full hour in worship. On Easter, Godly Play will take the week off, but the nurseries will remain open.

 

 

 

ON EASTER SUNDAY CAFÉ CENTRAL will only be offered between the two worship services (from 9:45-10:25am). We hope you’ll celebrate with your church family in fellowship either after the 8:30am service, or come BEFORE the 10:30am service.

 

THE CHURCH OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED on Easter Monday, April 22.

 

CAFÉ CENTRAL CAPTAINS. We are looking for individuals or CPC groups to serve as Café Central Captains.  Captains will be responsible for finding volunteers, food procurement, setup and cleanup of Café Central on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Sundays of a chosen month.  A small budget is available to help offset the cost of food.  Months available are:  May, August and December.  See Brad Aucker for more details

 

THE DONEGAL PRESBYTERY’S WOMEN’S SPRING RETREAT is being held May 3-5 at St. Mary of Providence Retreat Center, hosted by First Presbyterian Church of Phoenixville.  Registration forms are available at the Welcome Center.  Scholarships are available.  Questions?  See Joanne Bilyew.

 

DAY OF SERVICE, SATURDAY MAY 4 – Volunteers can begin signing up for Downingtown opportunities on the website (www.gc-serve.org) or via paper at the Welcome Center. Opportunities include Good Works, planting a butterfly garden at Simpson Meadows, projects at Caln Elementary School, and making casseroles at home to be delivered to the homeless in Philadelphia. More details at the web site or the Welcome Center.

 

 

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL REGISTRATION IS UNDERWAY!  This year’s theme is “Who Is My Neighbor?”  VBS is July 22-26 from 9:00 a.m. – 12 Noon each day, and is open to children who have completed one year of preschool through 5th grade. You can sign up online on our website. Cost is $15/child. There is also an afternoon session for kids who have completed 2nd-5th grade. Cost for the afternoon is $15/child and includes lunch.
