CHANCEL FLOWERS THIS MORNING are given to the glory of God and in loving memory of Al Lisk, by Amy, Travis, Andy and Natalie Lisk.
TODAY CPC SUPPORTS HEIFER INTERNATIONAL! CPC’s Alternative Gift Market is after worship today! We support Heifer International to demonstrate that we are committed to God’s mission of caring for and helping others. Be sure to remember this wonderful gift idea in your plans for this Christmas. Please stop by the large bulletin board in the hallway next to Fellowship Hall for some new information on how Heifer helps, and then join us as we “extend the table” through Heifer.
RESOURCES FOR OBSERVING ADVENT with your family are on the tables outside the sanctuary. Kits are available to create your own ornaments for the Advent season. Sign up on the clipboards there or email [email protected] and we will send you a set of weekly Advent devotions, the ornament kit, and a daily Advent calendar your family can complete together. Hopefully, these resources will help you keep focused on preparing for Christmas in a meaningful way.
THANK YOU! A huge thank you to the congregation. All Angel Tree and Deacon Christmas Outreach names have been taken. Wrapped gifts are due back by December 9. Any questions contact Pam Dunn
CHRISTMAS JOY OFFERING. A cherished Presbyterian tradition since the 1930s, the Christmas Joy Offering is one of the four special offerings designated by the PC(USA). It provides financial assistance to current and former church workers and their families as well as providing opportunities for deserving students to attend Presbyterian-related colleges and schools. You can find specially marked offering envelopes in the pews.
MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS are invited to join us at Toucan Swirl in Exton after school on Tuesday, December 4, at about 3 pm. If students from DMS or DWHS need a ride, talk to Amy Lisk and a group can be formed. Bring some $$, and a friend if you want, and meet us for some Froyo.
WONDER! This week, the Wired Word and Parents Group return to Block A from 6:15 to 7:15. In Block B, from 7:15 to 8:30, December 5 and 12, Donegal Executive Presbyter Rev. Spend some time with the great art and poetry of Advent in a fun interactive group. Sign up for this Wednesday’s Wonder dinner, pulled pork sandwiches, at the Welcome Center or at www.cpcdowningtown.org/wonder-dinner-sign-up.
