THANK YOU.  “The staff and volunteers at Hearts in Hands Community Center want to thank the CPC congregation for all it has done to support us.  Throughout this year, your continuous love and support has made it possible for us to improve our programs and to continue serving families in Honey Brook.  Happy New Year, and may God bless you all.”   -–Dawn Marie Schell, Founder & CEO

CAFÉ CENTRAL is in need of hosts for the month of January.  Please sign up at the Welcome Center.

STEWARDSHIP. Commitment cards are available at the Welcome Center for those who are still prayerfully considering what they might wish to give to the church in 2019.  Envelopes are provided for confidentiality, and can be returned to an usher or Welcome Center volunteer. Thank you for your faithful support.

CENTRALCONNECTIONS.  CPC offers a wonderful program for students in the Downingtown School District on early dismissal days.    Contact Margaret VanGilder if you would be willing to share something you love to do (crafts, games, music, etc.)  with some children. Next session is Wednesday, January 16,   1:30-5:00 p.m. You can volunteer from 2:00-3:00 pm or 4:00-5:00 pm, or both.

THE 2019 CHANCEL FLOWER SIGN-UP can be found in Fellowship Hall, right inside the door.  If you would like to donate the chancel flowers “in honor of” or “in memory of” a loved one, please indicate this on the chart.  Please make your check payable to the CPC Working Guild.  Cost is $40.   Flowers can be taken home immediately after the service, or you can designate that the Deacons deliver one or both to a shut-in.

THE CPC MEN’S MINISTRY GROUP will be meeting on Thursday, January 10, at 1:30 pm in the Prayer Room.  Start the New Year out with some great fellowship and interesting discussion as we look at the book “Half Truths” by Adam Hamilton.  Contact Gerry Mello or Peter Ayukachale for more information.  Newcomers are welcome!

POSITION AVAILABLE.  Betsy Williams has retired from her position at CPC as Financial Administrator.  We are sad to see her go and pray for God’s blessing in her new pursuits.   If you know of a non-member who is interested in this part-time position maintaining the church financial records and preparing budgets and financial reports, please have them send their resume to [email protected]

INCLEMENT WEATHER.  The CPC office follows the Downingtown Area School District when there are two-hour delays or closures because of bad weather.  You can call the church office to hear a recorded message, or check our website at www.cpcdowningtown.org to find out if we are closed.
