Announcements for the week of July 22, 2018

A SPECIAL WELCOME to all of our VBS Families:  We so enjoyed spending this last week with you, learning about God’s love.  You are always welcome at CPC.  Mark your calendars to join us on August 26 in worship for a back-to-school backpack blessing, and for a picnic on September 3 to kick off the new program year!

DOWN TO THE RIVER TO PRAY.  This morning “Come As You Are Choir” sings an anthem voted as one of the choir’s favorites this year. We pray all are blessed by this message.

WE REGRET that our trip to a Phillies game that was planned for today was postponed.  We will try to reschedule for the fall.  Checks will be returned to anyone who paid in advance.

PARKING LOT WORK BEGINS. Tomorrow, July 23, the first phase of our parking lot repair will begin, weather permitting.  Concrete work will be started at the Pennsylvania Avenue entrance.  The concrete will need to cure for 10 days, so for the rest of the week and next Sunday when you arrive at worship that entrance will remain closed.  You can still enter the parking lot from the other two entrances along Rt. 113.

REMINDER:     Our next Good Works day will be held on Saturday, July 28.   Let us know if you need directions to our homeowner.   As usual, please RSVP to Koren Motel or Jim Lucas for our lunch counts.   Thanks again for your support of this mission.

CHANCEL FLOWERS THIS MORNING are given by Bert Booker to the glory of God and in loving memory of his mother, Carole White Begley.

“COME AS YOU ARE CHOIR”. You are invited to come as you are to the choir room any or all summer on Sundays at 9 am to rehearse the anthem. Please see Anne Cowburn for more details.
