THE WIRED WORD ADULT EDUCATION CLASS will continue to meet throughout the summer on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays of each month at 11 am in the Prayer Room.  Please contact the church office if you would like to join the class so that the weekly lessons can be sent to you.  Please contact John Yurkutat, Kelly Kelly or Barbara Hollis if you have questions or would like more information about the class.

THE LORD’S PANTRY VETERANS/BACK-TO-SCHOOL SOCK DRIVE.  Since 2015, Central has hosted the Lord’s Pantry’s summer sneaker distribution to its clients who are veterans or children returning to school in the fall.  The Mission Committee is holding a sock drive this month to support that event.  New, athletic socks for those age 5 to adult are being collected in the Pantry food boxes at each end of the narthex on June 17 and 24.  Thanks for your support!!

THE YOUTH CANOE TRIP on the Brandywine is rescheduled for Friday afternoon July 6. Adults and students should email, text or talk to Amy Lisk to sign up.

REMINDER TO VBS VOLUNTEERS: We will meet this morning in Rooms 107-109 at 11:00 am for an orientation meeting and to distribute materials.

SUMMER CHILDREN’S WORSHIP TEACHERS NEEDED for kids age 4 through entering 2nd grade. Sign up to teach on the board next to the Welcome Center. Lessons are designed around a simple art project or science demo, and are available from Amy Lisk. Grab a partner, and volunteer!

PARKING LOT RENOVATION “SALE”.  The Capital Campaign team will be offering the opportunity to sponsor, for $10 per square yard, any size area of the parking lot you choose. See the campaign team at our table outside Fellowship Hall.  Thank you for your continued faithfulness and support.

“COME AS YOU ARE CHOIR” is back! Our summer tradition has welcomed many people to the singing of an easily-learned anthem for worship each Sunday in the summer. You are invited to come as you are to the choir room any or all summer Sundays at 9 a.m. to rehearse the anthem. We all sit where we wish during worship, and come forward to sing. We don’t wear robes or use folders. All voice parts and ages are welcome (add a family group?!)–we trust that the Lord blends together those who come into a worthy worship offering.

VISIONCORPS, a sight loss support group that meets here at CPC on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 12:30 to 2:30 pm, is looking for volunteers to transport visually impaired persons to and from the meetings.  These meetings have been extremely valuable for those suffering from major vision loss and blindness. Please contact Claire Hinkle at 610-741-6378.

HEARTS IN HANDS is looking for high school or adult volunteers to help with their summer camp.  See the notice on the bulletin board in Fellowship Hall for more information.

THE MEN’S MINISTRY will meet this Thursday afternoon, June 14, at 1:30 pm in the Prayer Room.  We will be reading and discussing James 3:13-18, Two Kinds of Wisdom.  We will then take July and August off and will resume meeting in September.  Please contact Gerry Mello if you have questions or would like more information.  All men are welcome to attend, and bring a friend or neighbor!

TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME!   Last year, our CPC trip to the Phillies game was a great success, so we are getting a group together for another fun time of fellowship at the Sunday, July 22, 1:35 pm home game, Phillies vs. San Diego Padres.  Watch for the sign-up sheet at the Welcome Center and SAVE THE DATE!

NURSERY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED.  One volunteer is needed weekly to serve with Ann Lash in the infant room. Please sign up on the calendar outside the nursery to support this important ministry.

THE NOMINATING COMMITTEE requests prayers and suggestions as we work to fill leadership positions.  If you know a member who is called (or should be) to serve as an Elder, Deacon, or Trustee, please let us know!  You may submit names and committee recommendations in the Officer Nomination Box at the Welcome Center.  Thank you in advance for your support and your prayers!
