CHANCEL FLOWERS THIS MORNNG are given by Diana Cline to the glory of God and in honor of the Black Family.
OUR SYMPATHY AND PRAYERS are with the family and friends of Nancy Frank, who passed away on June 15. Nancy was a CPC member, sang in the choir, and was a member of the Bridge Club here. A service celebrating her life will be held at CPC on Saturday, July 6 at 2 pm.
OUR TROOP 23 SCOUTS ARE DEPARTING FOR CAMP after worship today. We will be keeping them in our prayers for safe travels and a fun-filled week!
MEMORIES, QUOTES AND DRAWINGS to remind the Blacks of the fun times here at Central can be placed on the bulletin board in the main hallway. Please take an index card—we’d like all ages to participate!
PLEASE SIGN UP AT THE WELCOME CENTER if you plan to attend the celebration picnic for the Black Family on Sunday, June 30, after worship. Or, you can call the office at 610-269-1576 to RSVP.
MANY THANKS! Thank you for Sharing the Love with the Honey Brook Food Pantry! Each week was like Christmas receiving all of your donations! The pantry and our participants appreciate your support.
FUN WAY TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE FAREWELL PICNIC for Tim and his family. Jan Drury and Robin McMillen will be outside Fellowship Hall today after the service. We are looking for volunteers to make either Fruit Skewers or Salad Skewers for the picnic on June 30th. Jan and Robin will provide a kit with skewers, gloves and suggested recipes. This is a nice way to participate in the event and your support is appreciated. Each kit is for a dozen skewers. Reach out to Robin McMillen if you have questions 610-836-1363.
COME AS YOU ARE CHOIR. Come to the choir room on Sundays at 9:00 am to prepare an easy-to-sing anthem for the service. If you have ALWAYS thought, “I’d like to try singing in the choir,” then come as you are—all voices and ages welcome!
YOUTH GROUP SUMMER READING CLUB. Be sure to get your hands on a copy of “The Arrival,” a wordless graphic novel for our discussion before the Marsh Creek hike on Wednesday, June 26. It’s ok to come just for the hike, too. Discussion is at 5:30 pm, hike at 6:30 pm.
VBS SKITS. Any available students (or parents) who are into drama are welcome to help us film five very short skits for VBS—Tuesday, July 2, 7:00 pm. Contact Amy Lisk if you are interested.
CMA TO VISIT CPC. The Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA) is an interdenominational Christian outreach ministry to the motorcycling community. Part of their ministry is to visit churches on the 5th Sunday of the month and they will be visiting Central on Sunday, June 30. Elder Kevin Sorrell, who is a member of CMA, invites all bikers in the church to join CMA in a ride following the farewell picnic for the Black Family. So ride your bike to church and join Kevin and the CMA for their ride! There will also be information on the ministry of CMA and what they are all about on a table in the narthex.
VBS DONATIONS NEEDED. Across from the Welcome Center is a bright yellow bulletin board with a list of supplies requested for VBS. Please help us collect them. Many can be picked up at craft or dollar stores. The supplies are due July 14, and can be dropped off in the church office (please label VBS supplies.) See Rae Ann Lukavsky if you have questions. Thank you for your donations!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED. In order to keep Café Central going for the summer, we need volunteers to sign up. Please stop by the bulletin board next to the Welcome Center. Thank you!
MINISTRY LEADERS, please let the church office know if your ministry/committee will be meeting during June, July and August. Also, if you are not meeting during the summer, we need to know your September start-up date and preferred fall meeting schedule. Please request a building usage form. Thanks very much!
