CHANCEL FLOWERS THIS MORNNG are given to the glory of God and in loving memory of Vinny Connor by Eva Connor.
IN HONOR OF OUR MOTHERS. Stop by the PW tables outside of Fellowship Hall or the Prayer Room this morning. PW will provide Mother’s Day cards in exchange for a donation to our Presbyterian Women’s Mother’s Day Project for 2019, Healthy Women, Healthy Families. This outreach responds to the health needs of women and children in several African countries. Thank you for your generosity.
JOIN US THIS AFTERNOON FOR OUR CPC SPRING MUSIC RECITAL. Come hear the CPC traditional music groups in a not so traditional recital! At 4 pm today in the sanctuary the vocal, handbell, and flute choirs will perform some fun and different music that you won’t hear from us during the rest of the year. From Barry Manilow to Coldplay and beyond, these groups will put on a great show!
PLEASE JOIN US RIGHT AFTER WORSHIP for Extending the Table. We will be having a Cinco de Mayo fiesta and game day! There will be games available to play with your CPC friends, festive props for selfies and a piñata for the kids!
SHARE THE LOVE. Please take this morning’s insert with you when you go grocery shopping and pick up one or more of the items on the list, so that we can share the love with those in our community in need.

DATE CHANGE: THE CPC MEN’S MINISTRY meeting has been changed to Thursday, May 16, at 1:30 pm in the Prayer Room. Please set some time aside to meet with us for our continuing study of Adam Hamilton’s book, entitled “Half Truths.” We will continue our discussion ending Chapter 1 as we delve into the sovereignty of a God who gives us freedom and who works through other people. All are invited and new members will be provided with Hamilton’s book as a reference as we journey through these fascinating half truths together. RSVP to Gerry Mello, [email protected] or 610-755-8869.

VBS NEEDS A DECORATING TEAM! Help us transform CPC into a tiny Downingtown to support the neighborhood theme. We need a team leader as well as a few people who will support the effort. This is a great way to be involved before VBS and put your creativity to work—adults and youth are encouraged to participate. If you are interested, let’s meet up on May 19 in the Atrium during fellowship time and begin planning.
PICK UP A SCHEDULE OF SUMMER YOUTH EVENTS at the Welcome Center and join us whenever you can. Bookmarks with the book selections and discussion dates are also available there. As always, friends welcome at all events.
