Announcements for the week of October 13, 2019

CHANCEL FLOWERS this morning are given by Kraig and Lisa Gualtieri to the glory of God and in loving memory of Lisa’s mom, Diane Kulka.

A HUGE THANK YOU to all those who so generously supported our Mission Pancake Breakfast!  We had a good time and really appreciated all the compliments from the congregation.  We are now much closer to our goal of covering the cost of 10,000 meals for Rise Against Hunger.

HIS MISSION.  Please stop by the trifold board in the North Narthex to pick up a donation slip for our next meal for His Mission in Kennett Square.  We will be providing meat loaf, gravy, macaroni and cheese, green beans, cole slaw, and apple crisp.  Ongoing needs include paper towels, toilet paper, bleach, cooking oil, coffee, napkins, salt and pepper, dish detergent, and dishtowels/cloths.  Please bring items next Sunday, October 20.  Thank you for your generosity.

THANK YOU CPC, for a wonderful CROP Walk last week! The Downingtown Walk raised nearly $8,000, with the final pledges still coming in. CPC raised over $4,000 of those funds. We had over 80 walkers on Sunday, with almost 40 being from Central! We came so close to our goal of 50 walkers, and far surpassed our number of walkers from last year. We couldn’t have done it without you. Thanks to our walkers and everyone who sponsored a walker. Special thanks to our Volunteers who helped with parking, registration, money counting, refreshments, set up, and more! And of course, thank you to our own dedicated CROP Coordinator, Dan Beam. Next year the CROP Walk will be on Sunday October 4, 2020. Mark your calendars!
