AN IMPORTANT LETTER FROM STEWARDSHIP.  Please stop by the tables in the West Narthex by Fellowship Hall after worship today to pick up an important letter from our Stewardship Ministry.  Letters are in alphabetical order by last name.  Thank you—you will help save the church the cost of postage!

 

GODLY PLAY TRAINING SESSIONS will be held on Sunday, 11/3 from noon-1:30pm and Monday, 11/4, 7:00-8:30pm. All currently serving shepherds and storytellers are encouraged to attend as well as anyone who substitutes in the program or is interested in getting involved. Middle or high school youth who serve (or would like to serve) as shepherds are also invited. RSVP for either session to Amy Lisk. Lunch will be provided on Nov. 3rd.

 

DON’T FORGET!  Please support our Kids Central Fundraiser this Tuesday night, October 22, from 5-9 pm at Texas Roadhouse, 1205 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown.  15% of your total food purchase will go toward the playground.  Flyers are available at the Welcome Center to take with you the night of the event.

 

 

CALLING ALL SINGERS! “Festival Choir” will sing special music for Thanksgiving, Advent, Longest Night Service, December 15 (afternoon); Festival Music and Lessons, December 22; and Christmas Eve (10:30 pm). Practice begins October 27, Sundays at noon and Thursdays, 8:30-9:00pm.

SIGN UP FOR THIS WEEK‘S WONDER! DINNER at the Welcome Center or online at www.cpcdowningtown.org/wonder-dinner-sign-up. Gluten-free and vegetarian options can be requested.  A suggested donation is $5 per person to help offset the cost of the meal; maximum for a family is $20.  Or, you are welcome to bring along your own dinner and share in the fellowship

 

GOOD WORKS REMINDER. Good Works, a local home repair ministry, will be held on Saturday, October 26.  If you need directions, please contact either Jim Lucas or Koren Motel. Please RSVP for lunch and thanks again for the support of this ministry.

RISE AGAINST HUNGER.  On Sunday, November 3, our Extending the Table activity will be assembling and packing 10,000 meals. Come and enjoy participating in a great hands-on mission and fellowship event.  One meal costs 35 cents (total cost of meals = $3,500), so please look for the Rise Against Hunger donation box and bulletin board on your right as you enter Fellowship Hall.  Thanks for your support!

 

 

 

Release your “inner animal” at this year’s HEIFER ALTERNATIVE GIFT MARKET!  The Annual Heifer Market will be held Sunday Dec. 1.  Give a gift that keeps on giving in a loved one’s honor, and help to make a difference in people’s lives throughout the world! All are welcome to take part by creating a themed table for one of the many animals (and fish and trees) for which we will offer “shares”. Is there a particular animal that moooooves you?  Information about Heifer International, and opportunities to select and work on plans for the Heifer Market will take place during WONDER! on Nov. 6, 13, and 20.
