BOOK FAIR THIS MORNNG.  Looking for a good book just in time for Christmas giving?  Visit the KCP/CPC book fair in the atrium before and after worship today, and from 9 to 12:30 on Monday, November 20.  Books for all ages from Christian publishers Usborne and Spark House will be available to order.

OUR SYMPATHY AND PRAYERS are with the family and friends of long-time CPC member William V. Johnston, who passed away last month. A service celebrating his life will be held on November 30 at 11:00 am at Riderwood Senior Living, 3140 Gracefield Road, Silver Spring, MD.

TONIGHT CPC Youth and their families will gather at 6pm to share a Potluck Thanksgiving dinner and to fill 200 stockings for distribution to children through the Honey Brook Food Pantry. Please join us. Don’t worry if you haven’t signed up…see Amy this morning to RSVP and bring a favorite food tonight.

TODAY IS THE DEADLINE FOR YOUR PHOTOS.  A picture is worth a 1,000 words! The Worship Committee invites you to share “thanks giving” for the glory of God on Sunday, November 26 by submitting a photo you have taken which shows this for you.  Please email to [email protected] today.

HAVE YOU HEARD THE BUZZ?  This year’s Heifer Fair will be dedicated to the memory of our friend Mae Jean Rosser’s passion for Heifer and in particular, bees.  At the Fair, you’ll be able to learn about the huge value that can be provided by the tiny bee.  Visit Fellowship Hall on Sunday, December 3, for our Heifer Christmas Gift Market. Donations of animal-shaped cookies are appreciated; sign up at the Welcome Center if you can make a dozen or two.

OUR GARDEN OF GRATITUDE still needs leaves! Please take a leaf (or two) from the Welcome Center and complete it so we can put more leaves on our trees. This time, instead of thanking a specific individual at Central, we want you to write down programs or events that you are thankful for. (i.e. Sarah Circle, Sunday School, Coffee House, etc.) Once you have completed your leaf, please place it in the basket. Thanks!

PARENTS, ENJOY KID-FREE CHRISTMAS SHOPPING courtesy of the CPC Youth! We are offering babysitting for children 10 and under from 9 am – 12 pm or from 1 pm – 4:00 pm on Saturday, December 2. Please email Amy Lisk [email protected] to get your kids registered.  Spaces will be limited.  Be sure to indicate if you want AM or PM.

CHRISTMAS POINSETTIAS: We will be decorating our sanctuary at Christmastime with poinsettias given by our congregants in honor of or in remembrance of their loved ones. They are $9.00 each; order envelopes are at the Welcome Center this morning. Order deadline is Sunday, December 10.

YOU CAN HELP the Honey Brook Food Pantry make their client’s Christmases a little merrier by providing cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, and/or a large aluminum cooking pan for the Pantry’s Christmas distribution.  The pantry provides a turkey and the fixings for Christmas and these are a few of the items that are needed.  We anticipate 250 families receiving the holiday food.  Please place your items in either of the boxes in the narthex.  All items are due by November 29.  Thank you for your generosity.

ANGEL TREE AND DEACONS CHRISTMAS OUTREACH.  Names are available this morning in the west narthex.  Angel Tree is an organization that provides gifts to children whose parent or parents are incarcerated.  Deacon Christmas Outreach is a program for children of needy families in the Downingtown and Coatesville areas.  Pick a name and provide a gift that will be distributed to them for Christmas.  Deadline for gifts will be December 17.  Any questions contact Pam Dunn.

SALVATION ARMY BELL RINGING – Once again Central is supporting the Salvation Army by ringing bells for their Red Kettle Campaign on Black Friday, November 24, at the Exton Mall. This is one of their major fundraising efforts that help support their programs throughout the year.  We need two volunteers to cover each hour from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.  All ages are welcome!  Please sign up at the Welcome Center today.  Contact Kevin Zeeger for more information.
