Joining the Church

Becoming a Member

While you do not need to be a member to participate in worship or in church activities, making the commitment to join the church is encouraged because it invests you in the community in a new way.

Joining the church is a covenant between you, God, and the congregation. Membership also gives you voice in decisions of the church. You have the right to vote at congregational meetings. It also means you can be called to ordained leadership positions.

New Member Education

New member classes are typically offered in the spring and the fall of each year, over a shared meal. It’s a chance to get to know others who are also interested in making a commitment to the church, engage with some of our leaders, and ask any questions you may have. Please contact the church office if you would like to be notified when we offer the next class.
